Since Intuit replaced the OneSaaS connector and Xero moved Shopify to Amaka, merchants report missing zero-value sales, duplicate invoice numbers and wrong tax. Export one month from Shopify and from your books, drop both here, and get the list of orders to fix.
Shopify admin → Orders → filter to the month → Export → orders matching your search, CSV for Excel.
QuickBooks Online: Reports → Transaction List by Date → set the dates → Export (Excel or CSV).
Xero: Sales → Invoices → All → Export (CSV).
Pick a few days wider than the Shopify month if your connector posts on fulfilment.
We're building Books Sync Check: the same check each month across all the stores you look after, plus payouts, fees and tax codes. Get early access (free). If you'd rather have the full clean-up list done for you, say so in the form.
Has your connector let you down recently? Tell us what happened (4 questions). Built by Hieu Tran with AI agents; not affiliated with Shopify, Intuit or Xero. A consistency check of two exports, not accounting or tax advice.
It checks: Shopify orders (not cancelled) in the dates both files cover, matched to books transactions by order number; orders with no transaction, more than one, a different total or a different tax; the same invoice number used for different orders; and day totals, which still work when the connector posts one summary per day. It doesn't check: payouts and processing fees, refunds and credit notes (posted separately), cost of goods and inventory, customers and items, or currency conversion. Shopify's "Total" includes tax and shipping; if your books store amounts before tax, totals will differ by the tax.
